WhatsApp Now Bring Back Text Status After Receiving Backlash From Users

Unbelievable! Last month, WhatsApp removed the text status update and replaced it with Snapchat clones stories which resulted in backlash from users because the text status was well used than the latest Snapchat stories. However, the Snapchat clones storieswill soon be replaced by WhatsApp to a text status according to a report from techcrunch. The Beta of the Android app even include the feature and will roll out soon to everyone in the next few weeks. iOS users will get it later.

Below is the statement fromWhatsApp;

“We heard from our users that people missed the ability to set a persistent text-only update in their profile, so we’ve integrated this feature into the ‘About’ section in profile settings. Now, the update will appear next to profile names anytime you view contacts, such as when creating a new chat or looking at Group info. At the same time, we’re continuing to build on the new Status feature that gives people fun and engaging ways to share photos, videos and GIFs with their friends and family throughout their day.”

I think this has not happened before but WhatsApp has decided to replace the Snapchat stories to text status and at least the old status messages are coming back for good.
