In aiming to provide a better experience for online users, Google now realised that consumers hate unskippable ads on YouTube.

“As part of that, we’ve decided to stop supporting 30-second unskippable ads as of 2018 and focus instead on formats that work well for both users and advertisers,” said a Google spokesperson.
Meanwhile, Google will be replacing the 30-second unskippable Ads with a 6-second bumper as format that won't be unskippable as well. Hmm this will be better though.
Some reports says that YouTube is already panicking because Facebook video offering is ever more attractive to their brands by the day.
